Bajaj Auto has launched the highly anticipated and much awaited sportsbike, the Kawasaki Ninja 250R in Pune. Enthusiasts will be surprised to know that the bike coming to India is the 2010 model of the marque, with its matte black exhaust and a new green-black paint scheme. The bike will retail through Bajaj Probiking outlets throughout the country, and will a price tag of Rs 2,69,670 ex-showroom Delhi and Rs 2,69,580 ex-showroom Chennai.

Having seen major success around the world for its combination of practicality, ease of use, controlled power delivery and fabulous handling characteristics, the Ninja 250R is bound to make for one of the most desirable and affordable big bikes in the country. Its four-valve per cylinder, liquid cooled parallel twin engine churns out a very respectable 33PS of power at a screaming 11,000rpm - a fact that most sportbike enthusiasts will be satisfied with. Thanks to its liberal wheelbase, stability and ease of ride is also at a high.
